Future Me

Dear Future Thalia,

 

I am writing to you to say you have come so far in your dreams and goals that you should not give up. By now you probably have graduated already and you have your whole life ahead of you. It is time for you to experience the journey and the adventures of life. Every choice you make any direction you go determines how you will live. Now that you are becoming more of an adult you will face more responsibilities. It is your determination and your persistence that will help you to achieve the unthinkable.

 

There will be many obstacles that will come in your way. Things will get hard and you might want to give up at times but just keep in mind that you are strong and capable of achieving anything. Let your dreams and goals motivate you to keep moving forward. Dream bigger and work harder keep fighting for what you want in life. Keep the people that support you close because they will be the ones that will always be there for you.

 

Now when you achieve your dreams never forget where you came from and how much effort and sacrifice it toke to be able to get where you are at now. Do not forget the people that helped you along the way. Be a leader and a role model to the people around you. Enjoy every moment of life and treasure it for you are blessed. Never forget that your family loves you and cares about you. Thalia you can be anything you want to be make every day an adventure and live life to the fullest. Never forget the morals and values that you were raised on. I love you and I hope that you live an amazing life and I hope all your dreams and goals are achieved.

Forgive or Forget

They tell me to Forgive and Forget

How can I forgive 

When the pain still exists

How can I forget 

when thoughts keep running threw my head

I shouldn't have seen what I saw 

But I did 

I heard the  cries the pain the screams they echo threw my head

I saw my mom lay there on the floor almost dead

But on Sundays the  priest asked me to forgive my dad 

I asked the priest how can I he left

How can I love A father that has forsaken me ? 

My childhood was ripped right from under me 

Cuz every night my mom got beat 

I had to hear my mom say come rescue me 

People knew me by the girl that does not have a father 

But I said a least I still have a mother 

I was her hero her guardian angel

I would protect her at night from any kind of danger 

Forgiveness to me was a myth 

Because if my father loved us he would have never done what he did 

My past weighs heavy on my heart 

But there will be a day when I will have to forgive but I will never forget.

Affects of Love

Companionship is important in human experience because a companion is someone who is there for another person they comfort them and are pretty much there other half. Love is important in human experience because without love people would be feeling different emotions like sadness and anger and feeling neglected. These are both big in the human experience because without these experiences there would be hatred and bitterness in the world and no one would know what love is. To me love is caring about a person or thing so much that you would be sad or devastated if something happened to them or that object. Love is an emotion or feeling that makes you feel warm inside and happy and joyful. Love is what makes a persons be able to do what is right. Companionship is when you have a person that is your best friend someone who is always there for you no matter what. Someone you can love and tell everything to someone who makes you feel important and notices you for more then what is on the outside. Love and companionship are very strong feelings that everyone should experience. Love can affect a person and change them for the better. We should all have people in our lives that we can love.

It was an Accident !! :(

 

          Every day there are common accidents happening, the big argument is who gets the blame?   In this situation the blame could fall on both people, but does it?  I invited a friend to come over after school so we can hangout and study together. We have been friends for about a year. We study for a couple hours then decide to go outside and play on the trampoline. We bounce around and laugh and try to do cool tricks. My friend dared me to do three flips in a row I told her to do it first then I would try to attempt it. She went first and attempts to do it. On the third flip she slipped on a puddle of water on the trampoline and fell off. She twisted her ankle and we had to call her parents. The responsibility of that accident I would say could have fallen on me, my friend, or my parents.  I would see my friend responsible for her actions but the people that were in charge at that time and that had super vision would have been my parents. The accident was no one’s fault but the person that should have taken the blame and responsibility should have been my friend.  

Community project

I would call the ECHS dance team a project because we have to come together as a team a put in effort to make our events a success! A recent project that I was involved with was a benefit for the Genesis home to raise money for them. Me and the ECHS dance team collaborated and we all performed a dance for this event. I would say this was more of a personal project. Me and the dance team spent about 3 months practicing and preparing for this event. I can say the most difficult part was being unorganized with the dances and we all had a hard time putting our part into creating the dance. It was also hard because sometimes as a team we did not agree on certain things with each other. Me and the dance team all devoted a lot of effort and time and energy into our performance. After the performance we raised more than 100 dollars for the Genesis home. I believe personally all our effort and time paid off in the end. It was my pleasure to be apart of this project to support and help the community. I would gladly do it again!

Life full of Adventure

Many great people have explored and discovered new things like land and knowledge. Some way people were able to explore the unknown where by sailing the sea. This was very common in the old ages. People also explored by horses and train and by foot. When technology started to get more advanced people traveled by cars and by plains.

Some people have devoted themselves to a life of discovery because of the trill and excitement they get out of it. Different people explore for different reasons. Some explore to gain knowledge and understanding about the world around them. Some want to explore and discover new things.

People that want to live the life of adventure and discovery have to sacrifice a lot. They have to sacrifice a lot of time to be able to go on voyages. Explorers and pioneers also have to sacrifice a family life. The voyages they also experience usually are costly.

Truth vs. lie

If I was in a difficult situation and I had to choose between tell the truth or a lie. I can say I would definitely want to tell a lie but I would want to tell the truth as well. I would probably have a mental battle between myself wondering witch would be the best choice. I know I am not perfect yes I have lied before but in the end the truth always comes out. There are consequences for the choices we make as human beings so it would just be best to tell the truth. So even if there are consequences for telling the truth I would rather have someone be mad at me for telling the truth instead of a lie. If I had to protect someone by telling the truth even though they might not want me to, I would gladly do the right thing. I know I lie sometimes it is definitely an area in my life I need to work on but I can say there has been progress in the past few year. Like the saying goes "Honesty is the best policy". A difficult situation that I might tell the truth would be if a friend was talking to a person they did not know and their life was in danger. In this situation I would tell an adult or someone who is concerned about my friend that they might be in danger. I would not really care if my friend is upset at me my concern would be their safety.

High School

 

 

 

 

 

                     My name is Thalia Cintron and I attend the Early College program. I am sixteen years old and this is my second year in the Early college program. This year I am a sophomore and I have 6 classes total.In my high school experience I have encountered academic struggles, academic accomplishments, and academic aspirations. 

 

                  Some academic struggles that I have experienced are Procrastination in my working skills. Procrastination has come when I am doing home work or a project. I have also experienced not being determined as an academic struggle. Sometimes when I am not determined in my studies I begin to doubt my abilities to get good grades. Another academic struggle would be not putting my effort into my school work or studying. This happens when i become lazy and tired do I will not try my hardest to put effort into my work.

 

 

                   On my high school journey I have had some academic accomplishments. One academic accomplishment would be having the opportunity to attend the Early College High School. If i was not accepted into this program I would be going to Lorain High School. My second academic accomplishment was passing all my Freshman classes and becoming a Sophomore. My third academic accomplishment was passing all my collage classes. If I would have not passed these classes I would have had to pay for those classes.

 

 

 

               Finally some of my academic aspirations would be to get a 3.0 GPA average every year.

Another academic aspiration would be to graduate from this program and High school in 2015. Finally my last academic aspiration would be to continue my college experience but be able to for free. This would allow me to focus on my future and to be able to get ahead in my career and in life.

 

 

            During my High school experience I am encountering Academic struggles, Academic accomplishments, and Academic aspirations. I am learning as an individual to use my struggles and weaknesses in a positive way. I am learning in my high school experience to have more academic accomplishments and aspirations. I am using my weaknesses to my advantage and I also believe that is what life is about. We must use our trials and struggles to make us stronger for the future.

                 

Cyber bullying

Cyber bullying is common in my generation. People cyber bully online probably because they were also bullied at some point in their life. There can be many reasons why people bully it could be, because they feel alone, neglected , or because they want attention. The bullying can start in the household and affect the child so it would just come naturally to that Individual. I would say someone would more likely take A stand online if they see bullying instead of taking a stand in real life. People might take a stand online because they won't be facing that individual physically. I would say that you would rarely see a person physically approach a situation of a person getting bullied but, the people that do approach those types of situations are bold. It takes a lot of determination to stand up for others it also takes courage to be able to confront a person and tell them what they are doing is wrong. I am totally against any form of bullying and I believe it is wrong.

What belongs to me ?

I do not think anyone should have the right to take things that's do not belong to them. Some people work really hard for the things they have and people in power for example the government just take it away. I look at this as stealing. A person that takes something that does not belong to them can really damage or affect the lives of the other individual. The government or people how have higher authority might think it is ok to take people's belonging away but I believe it is not right. Unfortunately this is happening every day in the U.S and in foreign countries. it is sad to see that government officials and people with high authority let their power get to their head. Everyone has a right to keep their belongings that they have worked hard for. There is no respect for the people that can take things that do not belong to them because they can. In America we should work hard to get nice things instead of using our authority to take advantage of other Individuals.

Everyday hero's

People sometimes risk their own lives for others because they would hope if they were in the same situation someone would risk their lives for them. People sometimes take a risk for others because they love or care about them. Sometimes we don't care about the situation and how bad it may look as humans we try to help in whatever way possible. We truly need to thank all out hero's. Not all hero's are popular people hero's can be anyone anywhere at any time. The hero's are the people that respond in times of need for complete strangers knowing they need help. Our society sets up big standards for hero's that they have to have a super power or be rich and popular but, heroes can be any ordinary person in your neighborhood. Some people look out for themselves rather then others because they get scared and panic or rather sacrifice their time for themselves.

If I could spend a day with anyone...

If I could spend a day with anyone in the whole world I would spend the day with Jesus. If I was living during the time he was on this earth I would want to spend a whole day with him. I would follow him around and would ask him a lot of questions. The first thing I would be to give him a big hug. I believe he would be an amazing role model I would look up to him like father or big brother. He would probably have an amazing amount of wisdom. I would probably observe and follow him everywhere. I would feel like a little kid in his presence. If we could go anywhere I would want to go back to the time when he multiplied the food for the thousands of people that came to see him. This would be my day with Jesus .

Christmas break

Over winter break I slept at home because I was sick. I slept so much over break I felt like a polar bear. I hardly left the house over break because of the cold weather outside. For Christmas me and my family woke up early and sat around the tree and opened presents. After opening presents at my house I got to go to both of my grandparents to open gifts there. This year I got everything on  my Christmas list that I asked for. Before I knew it New years eve was here. For New Years eve I had the pleasure to dance with the dance team at my church. It was an amazing and fun experience. Over all for the holidays I spent time with family and wonderful friend.
